Living Labs Europe

Living Lab Barcelona is a center for "quality of life" in Europe and is well known as an important place for design and creative industries. Mobile phone penetration rates, positive attitudes among the local population combined with a frequent number of articles in local press form positive ingredients for mobile fluency.

Barcelona constitute a tempting market possibility for technical and content providers. There is a community of consumers of commercial mobile services emerging in Barcelona. Barcelona's world reputation for dynamic initiatives and a competitive hospitality industry cannot be disputed.

Interest in mobile solutions from other industries is high as well as the scores for networking activities – both for networking with international implications as well as locally, promoting cluster building. The management capacity dimension adds some extra value in favour of Barcelona’s development towards mobility.
